12But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.5For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;9In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;4Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.15Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.1I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; 2A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach;16And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. 8For bodily exercise profiteth little : but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come.12Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.1Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; 10For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.12Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses.11But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.6But godliness with contentment is great gain.
