Proverbs 3:17

Not a dazzling prize at the end, but a different quality of the road itself: pleasant ways and peaceful paths. Peace isn't always the absence of hard things, and wisdom doesn't insulate you from loss, confusion, or a Thursday when nothing makes sense. What it promises is that the decisions you make from wisdom — telling the truth when lying would be easier, waiting when acting rashly is tempting, giving when hoarding feels safer — carry an inner steadiness that shortcuts can't buy.
